Danny’s Trails: Mossley, England

Danny’s Trails: Mossley, England, is loosely based on a true story and is filled with youthful creativity, and lessons in inner awakening, and mindfulness. This children’s book is appropriate for children ages 6-9. Consequently, the story’s imaginative use of real landmarks, walkable trail, and map makes it engaging for readers of all ages.

Join author Susana Porras for a special reading of Danny’s Trails: Mossley, England at the Hastings Branch Library. This heartwarming children’s book was created in collaboration with Manchester illustrator Dan Makin, whose remarkable journey has inspired readers across the globe.

After surviving a life-altering stroke in 2017 that left him with permanent disabilities, Dan discovered a new passion for art. His resilience, creativity, and love of his hometown shine through every page of this uplifting story.

In this video, Susana shares not only the book but also the inspiring partnership behind it—how a writer from California and a stroke survivor from England came together to create a joyful celebration of friendship, healing, and imagination.
